The low down
It sounds cliché to say that The Well is a one-stop health and fitness destination, but it really is.
Their mantra—health isn’t just about beauty, it’s about how you feel inside, in your body, in your mind, in your heart—is at the forefront of everything they do. Where else can you go for a chat with a friendly psychologist, followed by a Pilates workout, massage and a meal? Perhaps you need to see an Osteo, go for a workout and then meet friends for some wholesome food, The Well has it nailed. Everything has been designed for the feel good factor, from the flavours to the fitness..
Everything’s fresh and organic and caters to most of your common special dietary requirements—dairy free, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian. The make your own juice is a favourite with us. Cold pressed juices made to order. Or if you prefer hot drinks, the coffee’s pretty good and there’s a range of Om tea—if you’re lacking oomph, an uplighting blend of energy tea will put some extra zing in your day. The Coco-Nutty Banana smoothie’s also pretty good (Unless you have a nut allergy), but on the pricier side of things.
Breakfast is available all day with build your own options available. Lunch menu is limited, but the food is wholesome, healthy and you don’t have to cook it.
There’s a myriad of classes from slow yoga to yoga for mums and bubs, there’s even yoga for tweens. Barre burn, reformer Pilates, F.I.T classes, strength workouts, which can culminate with a dip across the road at Sydney’s world famous beach. Forget booking through the website, you really need the app which gives you a complete breakdown of all the class times and lets you set reminders.
Under the one roof you’ll find everything for your wellbeing:
What's not to love? Million-dollar views of the Pacific Ocean, smack-bang in the centre of Bondi where you can people-watch hipsters, surfies and bohemian backpackers to your heart's content.
78 Campbell Parade
Simply being amongst the lycra-clad, yoga mat carrying, lettuce leaf eating types can instantly make you regret the cheat meals and the sneaky trips to Maccas. You may feel suddenly feel inspired to try harder. Probably not the place to bring die-hard carnivores who prefer their meat and three vege, but if improving your mind, body and soul is on the agenda, The Well’s a pretty good place to start. Café wise it leans towards being a little expensive, $20 for a grains and green bowl for breakfast is starting to get right up there price-wise, but then again how much is your health and happiness worth? You can’t beat the venue or the range of services, so we’re giving The Well in Bondi a solid thumbs up.
